Friends & Family Capital is a venture capital firm based in Silicon Valley started by the former CFO of Palantir Colin Anderson and second-generation venture capitalist John Fogelsong.
We believe generational companies require world-class finance functions and operations during critical growth phases.
We are the trusted partner for founders and CFOs, offering deep operational expertise, hands-on support, and strategic advice.
We purpose-built the firm to partner with founders on three key force multipliers of finance: team, operations, and capital.
- Team: We help founders build their finance teams from the first finance hire to the eventual CFO, and everything in between: controller, FP&A, operations, payroll, tax, treasury, and more. We have built these teams as operators at Palantir and helped portfolio founders to do the same at their companies.
- Operations: We help finance teams from building their first operating models to improving predictability prior to a growth round or IPO. This includes improvements to workflows, systems, data, and dashboards, the ingredients necessary to support growth at scale.
- Capital: We help founders and CFOs plan and execute their fundraise. The process starts months before the capital raise with messaging, preparation, models, decks, and data rooms. Helping to select your lead and finalize deal terms follows. We have done this from Seed rounds all the way to Series K and public listing.
We invest in founders from their earliest days and all along their journeys into scaled generational companies. Our first checks can start around white boards and kitchen tables. We scale our check size, advice, and counsel throughout the journey.
